- Everyone in Manhattan is a workaholic. No matter what trade or profession you are in. Put in a 10-11 hour workday and you’re just hitting normalcy by our standards.
- Don’t pick the subway car that is empty/nearly empty. I know it’s exciting to feel like you are guaranteed a place to sit, but that car is empty for a reason.
- At work, I am not strong enough to push the revolving door by myself. So unless someone is behind me to propel me forwards, I’m not going anywhere.
- Don’t pay attention to MTA Service Change Notices. Nine times out of ten, they don’t affect you, and more often than not, they are just restating facts you already knew. They are just there to make you temporarily panic and think you aren’t going to get home.
- We are ALL living uncomfortably with too little air conditioning, too little closet space, and groceries that go bad in a matter of minutes. But we ALL refuse to upgrade because we are bound and determined to make it in the City.
