Today is the last day of my internship at Her Campus. I can't believe it's over -- it feels as though I just started!
I have loved all of my time at HC. It wasn't easy, and my planner was pretty much constantly full, but it was so rewarding. Not only have I gotten great experience from this internship, but I've also met great people.
Throughout my time here, I've edited articles for the love section, approved online comments, monitored branches, wrote the weekly newsletter, wrote articles, contributed to social media, assigned articles, and much more. I wasn't getting coffee or filing papers, and even though I'm sure these tasks have their own 'lessons,' I'm glad to have had the experience I did.
Even though I will be leaving HC's office, I will still be working for HC throughout the year! I will be heading up the editing and publishing of exclusive HC content on The Huffington Post, which is both really exciting and really scary (but mostly exciting). I'm glad to still be working for online publications (after this internship, I can definitely say I prefer online to print) and for such powerful, smart women.
Anyway, I have to go do work before my last day (!), but I hope you all have had as great of a summer as I had! Can't wait to see you all back in Chapel Hill!!!
Hey Rachel,
ReplyDeleteIf you see this, I'd like to know why you prefer online to print. Sounds like HC gave you a great impression of online!
Thanks!
Dan
